The eight palaces from the first game, as well as the final level, are all still present, with the perverted High School teacher, Kamoshida kicking, things off, before moving onto greater threats as the game progresses. The intro to the game remains largely the same, with the majority of story changes coming further into the game. Overall Atlus nailed it once more and I can't wait to see what's next in the menu.In the Metaverse, you meet Morgana, a talking cat who claims to not be a cat, and from there you investigate the Metaverse further, forming the Phantom Thieves, teaming up with new members, taking on ever more distorted individuals, alongside spending your days living out your daily school life, filled with all the drama, awkward conversations, and dread of schoolwork that comes with it. The music was a junction of the music you already loved from Persona 5 with some new music that made the game much more enjoyable. The bosses were creative but less challenging than some side-quest bosses which was a bit of a bummer because they had such cool designs. It was very polished and intense despite some camera issues I found along the way.

The combat this time around wasn't JR-PG but rather Hack and Slash. It was a great adventure with awesome new characters that were able to fit right in the story, deepening bonds with the characters this game felt very natural comparing to the obligation of making bonds with people you didn't want to in Persona 5. Persona 5 Strikers was a fantastic follow-up to the story of Persona 5 but didn't felt necessary to play one before the other. Saying that there was no way I wouldn't try Persona 5 Strikers. The world and game design impressed me like never before.

I have started my Persona journey with Persona 5 Royal and became a fan instantly.
